Standing Out In The Crowd For Increased Sales And Profits…
The kiss of death as a Marketer is to get labeled as “just another one of those guys”. Just another Internet Marketer, just another Network Marketer, just another Affiliate Marketer… It’s all equally as bad, and if you end up with that label, it’s most likely because one of a couple of problems.
Firstly, you’re probably not branding yourself as an expert and authority with your own content, videos, podcast episodes, and so forth. If you aren’t putting yourself out into the Marketplace consistently and predictably, and are instead hoping that the system or opportunity will do all the work for you, what can you expect?
If that’s you… change now… and start growing your position in the Marketplace with Attraction Marketing.
If however you are doing those things, and still aren’t seeing the type of results that you expected from your Marketing, it most likely boils down to one thing…
You’re probably trying to please everyone, and in the process, aren’t really resonating with anyone.
One of Dan Kennedy’s more famous quotes is, “If you haven’t offended someone by noon, you’re not doing your job as a Marketer”…
…And it’s completely true. If you’re trying to please everyone, your marketing message will be weak, and you won’t get any traction.
The solution lies is in creating polarity with your audience, and being ok with being hated by some… in the realization that in the process of being hated by some, others will LOVE you.
Now I realize this is all common sense at this point… and understand that it’s much more important to understand how to implement a strategy than just know what it is.
So… here we go… Pull out a pen and paper… and on one side of the sheet write “stand for”, and on the other side of the sheet write “stand against”… Then write down all the characteristics of the individual that you WANT to work with… your perfect customer in the “stand for” column… and all the characteristics of the individual you don’t want to work with in the “stand against” column.
Don’t create this list based on just making sales… Create this list based on the characteristics of customers that you’d be working with in an intimate one on one setting, over and over and over again.
Mine looks something like this…
Stand For:
- Freedom
- Leadership
- Hardword
- Providing Value To The Marketplace
- Investing In Yourself
- Selling Stuff You TRULY Believe In
- Having Fun
Stand Against:
- Wanting Something For Nothing
- Blaming The System For Lack Of Results
- Being A “Me Too” Marketer
- Playing The Victim Blame Game
- Promoting Anything Just To Make Money
Cool… now that you’ve got your list, staple it up on your wall where you work, keep it close to you when you make videos, and always go over it before doing that anyone in your Marketplace will see. I have one by my desk, one in my car (where I like shooting videos), and pictures of the list on my phone, so if I feel like doing something impromptu, I have a reference.
Then… in ALL of your Marketing…
- Your E-mails
- Your Videos
- Your Podcast Episodes
- Your Webinars
- Your Blog Posts
- EVERYTHING
You want to try to do two things…
- Reward good behavior
- Call out bad bevahior
So when someone takes action and invests in themselves by joining you, buying from you, or purchasing coaching, take a second and congratulate them openly to your list, and reward the good behavior. You’ll see an e-mail coming from me in the next couple of days congratulating my buddy Korey Niese who just upgraded to VIP in Elite Marketing Pro.
Not only will I congratulate him… but I’ll also talk about the importance of investing in yourself, and how its the sign of a mature Marketer. Simultaneously, I’ll work in some jabs at refunders and “me too marketers”, and call them out on not taking action and investing.
What this will do is tell ALL the other people on my list subconsciously that they need to invest, invest, invest, because that’s good behavior, and doing it means you’ll be rewarded. It will attract more customers who are on the same page as me when it comes to investing in themselves, working hard, and providing value, while simultaneously repelling people who don’t want to do any work, and won’t provide any value to the Marketplace.
When you constantly voice what you’re for, and what you’re against, over a period of time, the people who don’t like what you’re for will leave (leaving you with a cleaner list), and those who resonate with what you have to say will eventually purchase something.
The key is, that in each piece of your Marketing, include jabs at the things you stand against… As it’s much easier to get someone to take a stance of agreement for something you feel similar about, than to sell them on a new idea.
Example: If someone isn’t fully sold on investing in themselves, saying to do it over and over again will help, but won’t create as strong of a bond as immediately voicing what you’re against, and having them immediately connect with you.
Sell people on your “for values” over a period of time… and consistently and predictably voice what you’re against to get rid of the tire kickers.
In doing so, you’ll have a loyal tribe of followers who know, like, and trust your advice, and who you’ll actually enjoy working with down the road.
Note: This is obviously for people who already have at-least a little list and audience built up, and for those who can get a message in front of people on demand.
If however you don’t have an e-mail list or audience built yet, and aren’t sure where to start with your traffic generation methods, checkout this free video, where I reveal how I tap into upwards of 29 sources of red hot traffic, generate upwards of 300 leads a day, and stay atop the leaderboards for the opportunity I promote, all spending under an hour a day on my traffic generation.

In conclusion, and to lead by example… If you happen to be someone who is:
- Wanting Something For Nothing
- Blames The System For Lack Of Results
- Wants To Be A “Me Too” Marketer
- Playing The Victim Blame Game
- Promoting Anything Just To Make Money
