6 Things I Wish I Would Have Known Earlier Part 2

Yesterday I sent you an e-mail with the first 3/6 things I wish I would I have known earlier in my Marketing career. If you didn’t read that e-mail, you can read it on the blog right here… I’ve poured my heart and soul out into these 2 e-mails to empower you with the information you need to streamline the process in which you build your Online Business. If you take and apply the 6 points we will have talked about by the time you’ve gone through today’s e-mail, the time in which it takes you to get into profit mode will be cut down significantly.

Realize though that all I can do is give you the information. It’s then up to you to take action and implement it in your business… and unfortunately that’s where most people get stuck with their business’s. They never take action… get never get of of learning mode… which brings us to point #4…

4.  You Want To Get Into “Production Mode” As Fast As Humanly Possible

If your reading this e-mail, chances are that you’ve read a few other Marketers e-mails today as well. You’ve probably watched a few Youtube videos and read a few blog posts by people who you look up to who you think can help you.

Don’t get me wrong… that’s all good… but what you need to realize is this:

The only way that you’re ever going to start building your business, brand, and position in the Marketplace is by you becoming the person writing the e-mails, shooting the videos, and making the blog posts.

You can read and go through every single traffic product there is on the web, but until you become one of the few who take action based upon what you learn and implement the strategies taught in your business, you’ll never begin to grow your audience or make sales.

Simply put… Doing shit create results.

A common rule of thumb is to follow a 80/20 ratio when it comes to producing and consuming. If you have 5 hours to work on your business each day, you should be producing and taking action for 4 of them, and learning new skills and strategies to implement for 1 of them. Most people get this ratio backwards when starting, which can lead to literal years of pain and frustration while they’re stuck in what people call “information overload” or “analysis paralysis”.

Don’t let that happen to you. Starting today, take an hour to learn something, and then go and apply it immediately in your business for 4 hours minimum. If you need to review and re-learn something, do it only after you’ve put in the time producing.

5. Your Network Truly Is Your Networth

This is an idea I fought when I was first getting started. I wasn’t really into the whole traditional Network Marketing/Team Building approach, and that lead me to having a kind of “I’m going to do and figure it out all myself” attitude.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not telling you that you have to get into the whole traditional network marketing thing… actually, most of my income today comes from sales of affiliate products, systems, coaching, and some from selling traffic…

BUT… what I am telling you is that THE RELATIONSHIPS YOU HAVE AND BUILD ARE KEY.

One single relationship I was fortunate enough to build with an industry leader has been worth now OVER $40,000 in revenues for my business the last 7 months alone!

Who know’s where I’d be right now if I hadn’t done everything in my power to build and cultivate that relationship.

Sometimes building relationships will cost you money. I took out a 5k loan to get involved in the program that lead to the relationship being built. I saw the potential of the system, and knew I wanted to work with the individual behind it, so I took a risk. That 5k spent has now turned into 40k made, as well as me now having an invaluable relationship with one of the most influential people in the entire industry.

The lesson: Do what you have to do in order to get around people who have what you want and whom you think can help you move forward. Spend the money, get to events, hustle. Build relationships… they’re the single most valuable asset you could ever have… along with your own intellectual capital.

6. Stay Active And Healthy For Increased Productivity…

When I decided that I needed to make this thing happen, I put EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE BACK-BURNER. My friends, family, relationships, and hobbies.

Now don’t get me wrong, you’re going to have to make sacrifices. You’re going to have to spend some time in front of the computer when you’re friends are going out on the town. You’re going to have to almost be in your own world for a certain period of time when your business is in the infancy phase…

…But it’s also important to realize that the ONLY thing that’s going to be responsible for any results you produce in your business is YOU… YOURSELF. Nothing outside of yourself, no push button system, no magical traffic method will ever make your business successful. Your own success will ONLY come from you taking action and implementing the strategies you learn with persistence and consistency.

And now that we’ve clarified that point, the importance of taking care of yourself through proper nutrition, proper sleep, and a balanced exercise program should make sense to you.

When Richard Branson was asked for one tip on how to be more productive, he answered with one word response of “exercise”.

A healthy exercise regimen will keep you fresh and engaged when you’re working, and will minimize the levels of stress you experience on a daily basis. All of which are key factors in how much you get done on a daily basis… which is turn will lead directly the success or failure of your Online Business.

To recap in full the 6 things I wish I would have known earlier… I wish I would have known…

1. The “Marketing” really begins AFTER the lead is generated.

2. The money is in the relationship with your list, not the list itself.

3. You should always be selling, and providing value simultaneously.

4.  You Want To Get Into “Production Mode” As Fast As Humanly Possible

5. Your Network Truly Is Your Networth
